Get support of arthritic pain naturally

At BioVitality Clinic, we share how functional medicine, Supplement nutrition, and Homeopathy can support chronic joint pain. We aim to help patients improve the underlying problem by supporting and boosting the immune system to prevent the body from attacking itself. We use a layered approach, such as identifying links to Rheumatoid Arthritis through underlying emotional trauma by treating shock and the emotions (is it anger? Guilt? Loss of a loved one, or feelings of abandonment?)

Forms Of Joint Pains

There are two types - Acute flare-ups and, most commonly, chronic pain for joints.

 Acute Flare-Up Causes

  • High fevers can result in joint pain and flare-ups. A fever is the body's way of showing there is an infection.

  • Traumas like accidents, injuries, or even mental, emotional, and stress-related traumas can cause joint flare-ups

  • Joint flare-ups can also sometimes be the result of Gonorrhoea

  • Gout can lead to an acute flare-up, although this condition can also be chronic

Conditions associated With Chronic Joint Pain

  •  Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Osteoarthritis, and

  • Gout

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease where sediments and toxins from various sources such as calcium deposits, side effects of drugs, or by-products of chemicals that the body can't break down accumulate in the joints. When there's a lot of toxicity in the joints, like the shoulder and finger joints, knees, and elbows, the body no longer recognizes the joint and its surrounding area. As a result, the body's immune system starts to attack the affected joints by sending in white blood cells to clear out the toxins. Like an army, the white blood cells attack the body's joints which causes significant inflammation at the joint site, thus rendering patients with hot, swollen, painful, and puffy areas.

What is the Etiology of RA?

Diet, medications, stress, and overusing joints (like excessive exercise with no rest) all play a role in inducing joint inflammation triggering RA. However, two of the most significant factors that play a role in RA cases are:

Genes: Genetic disposition plays a role in almost all RA cases, with the genes often running through the family being passed down

Trauma:  Whether it's physically related trauma due to injury or emotional and stress-related trauma, RA can get triggered in the body. RA is linked to the immune system, which directly gets affected when we experience trauma/s.

The most common medication used in mainstream medicine is steroids. The limit for this is that steroids only suppress symptoms. Vast quantities of steroids are injected to stop the inflammation, but consequently, it results in suppressing the body's own action, and the body will carry on attacking itself. The immune system gets confused and eventually starts breaking down. Supporting RA cases can take time, especially when there's been a history of steroid interventions.

 Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is not an autoimmune condition. This is, however, a significant cause of joint pain and is quite common. Often it is due to wear and tear, drying out of the synovial fluid in the joints, joint degeneration, worn cartilage, exposed bones, and eroded synovial membrane. Symptoms in patients are often swelling in the joints, and deformities, from the joints, contracting and tightening. Unfortunately, once the joint deformities occur after a long time, you can't actually bring them back, even with homeopathic medicine.

Gout

Gout is a problem with the kidneys; when uric acid builds up because kidneys are not functioning. The uric acid gets deposited mainly in the soles of the feet and in the hands resulting in a build-up of uric acid crystals. Most of the time, it can be controlled with nutrition, supplements, and homeopathic medicine.

Natural Ways To Support Arthritic Induced Pain

An essential aspect of managing pain and inflammation in the body is to try to reduce emotional distress, ease anxiety, and try to rest to calm the mind.

  • Eating nutritious foods, adding herbs, or taking supplements to boost your immune system and reduce inflammation in the body will help relieve pain.

  • Herbs like Turmeric and plant-based diets provide antioxidants and help lower inflammation to support flare-ups and ease arthritic pain.
